Friday — May 9, 2008

  • 9:00am — Exhibition of Bung Fai rockets and sales of OTOP products
  • 4:00pm — The display of Bun Bang Fai rockets along the main road of the Yasothon.
  • 4:30pm — Soeng Bang Fai Folk Dance Contest - In front of the Yasothon Provincial Centre Office
  • 6:30pm — The awards ceremony for the Soeng Bun Bang Fai Folk Dance Contest.
  • 7:00pm — Miss Bang Fai Koh beauty contest.
  • 10:00pm — The awards presentation ceremony  for the beauty contest


Saturday — May 10, 2008

  • 7:00am — Procession of the Bun Bang Fai Trophy from the Yasothon Municipal Office to the staging area in front of the Yasothon Provincial Centre Office on Chaeng Sanit Road
  • 9:30am — Opening ceremony featuring the big parade
  • 7:15pm — ‘Palaeng’ I-San-style set dinner with I-san cultural presentations as well as a Thai-Japanese cultural showcase. A delegation from Shishibu prefecture in Japan will present a cultural show featuring various aspects of Japanese culture during the palaeng dinner. The evening ends with a traditional Thai fireworks contest featuring sparklers and other forms of traditional Thai fireworks such as fai paniang and talai.


Sunday — May 11, 2008

  • 8:00am — 4:00pm - Bang Fai Rocket Contests, fireworks, and the mud
  • 4:00pm — Presentation of prizes for the various categories of the Bun Bang Fai Rocket contest
